As part of its partnership with the Foundation for Housing for the Disadvantaged, Plateau Urbain supported the collective Le Lieu.
The Tweed project is a “third place” initiative jointly led by two partners: the Le Lieu association in Mulhouse, which supports young people excluded from traditional support systems, and Patrick Durand, the owner of a former textile mill in downtown Mulhouse, who wanted to develop a “Petite Cantine” project. The two partners came together around a shared desire to create a community space for the region that would meet the needs of a wide variety of people and enable Le Lieu to develop new activities for the young people it supports. Plateau Urbain supported this emerging collective in aligning its vision for the project, agreeing on shared objectives, and defining credible project priorities with a view to developing the “third place” in the near future.
