Support for the development of a transitional management strategy for the delivery of new phases of an economic district

SEM Ville Renouvelée, responsible for developing a new economic district in the northern part of the metropolitan area alongside the MEL, commissioned Plateau Urbain and Les Saprophytes to define and co-develop a transitional management strategy. In the first phase, the mission aimed to analyze the challenges of transforming the site over time and to identify the aspirations and needs of local stakeholders. This work led to a second phase of developing a master plan with about ten actions to be carried out by 2026, the date of the district’s delivery. The defined strategy aims to temporarily occupy certain lots prior to construction with innovative uses (cultural events, green spaces, participatory projects, etc.), and to announce the transformations of La Lainière by supporting the delivery of public spaces. The defined actions allow the developer to organize the activation of certain lots over time and to begin revitalizing the area immediately.
