Feasibility Study for the Construction of a Pilot “Third Place” Facility for the Circular Economy on a Slab Foundation

The Est Ensemble community aims to establish a third place to bridge access to employment, training, and digital resources for the most disadvantaged, while raising awareness of social and environmental responsibility. A potential site is being considered within the Paul Eluard neighborhood in Bobigny. Given the project’s development timeline, a pilot site built on the slab would serve not only to test programs and begin bringing together the future community of the third place, but also to revitalize a public space currently lacking in shops or amenities. This pavilion is also intended to serve as a demonstration project focused on the circular economy and inclusion. Plateau Urbain, following an assessment of the local stakeholders, is studying the technical feasibility of the project, proposing modular construction methods, and estimating the investment required for its construction.
