Preliminary feasibility study for the creation of workspaces on the first floor of the Pavillon des hôtes

The SOS group is considering a third-place project on the site of the Abbey of Saint-Sever-de-Rustan. This project aims to transform the Abbey into a destination, develop new uses for the site (activities, entrepreneurship, social integration, local services), and rehabilitate the site as it is gradually occupied. The abbey is a heritage building classified as a historic monument that is already partially occupied by cultural and event-related activities; a partial renovation of the site was initiated but then halted pending approval of the spaces’ intended use and programming. To refine its preliminary study, the SOS group commissioned Plateau Urbain to assess the feasibility of establishing activity and workspace areas on the first floor of the guesthouse during a “test” phase, in order to validate the programming for this wing and its heritage renovation plan.
