As part of its partnership with the Foundation for Housing for the Disadvantaged, Plateau Urbain worked with the La Daronne collective—which brings together organizers of social, cultural, and artistic projects—to revitalize a former convent located in the heart of the village and owned by the municipality. Through a three-day workshop combining discussions with the collective, site surveys, working sessions, and meetings with local elected officials, Plateau Urbain helped the collective make progress toward reclaiming this historic building, which had stood vacant for several years. Support in formulating the project’s objectives, identifying the spaces’ potential, and highlighting management challenges enabled the collective to consolidate its project and respond to the call for proposals issued by the Saint-Félicien City Hall for a three-year pilot phase to test initial uses of the space.
