On the former Dunlopillo factory site, the EPFIF and the Yvelines Department aim to implement a transitional use plan to revitalize and enhance this key area of the Mantes-la-Jolie region. The goal is to restore the site’s former regional influence through new activities, while also contributing to the revitalization of an area facing a combination of social challenges, high levels of precariousness (NPNRU Le Val Fourré), and a certain decline in the vitality of its center following decades of urban sprawl. Plateau Urbain conducted a project management support study for the implementation of a transitional urban planning project on the Dunlopillo site. A technical and capacity assessment of the site’s potential, combined with a territorial analysis and a benchmarking of similar projects, enabled the proposal of a phased strategy for the southern part of the site. The cooperative then assisted in selecting the management and implementation model, as well as the future operator.
