The associations Singa Lyon and Bellebouffe approached Plateau Urbain in 2022 to help them set up a third-place project in La Mulatière, in the former restaurant of the SNCF technical center. Designed as a laboratory for inclusion and food transitions, this project aims to enable public and private actors, citizens, and local residents to contribute to a more ecological, inclusive, and democratic society.
To successfully carry out this project, Plateau Urbain supported the two organizations, alongside Rési-Liens, on the technical, economic, and legal aspects of setting up the project. The Plateau Urbain teams assisted the associations’ representatives in defining the site’s management and governance model through the creation of an ad hoc management association bringing the two organizations together. In addition, the work also involved supporting the definition of the various developments necessary for the project, as well as the submission of the AT ERP application to allow the site to open to the public. Finally, the teams also supported the organization in drafting, negotiating, and signing the agreement with the owner (SNCF).
