Plateau Urbain has developed expertise and know-how in setting up hybrid spaces centered on solidarity, thanks both to its management of temporary occupation spaces and to its research and consulting work on third-place development. A significant number of collectives and project leaders regularly contact the cooperative to seek advice on developing third-place projects, often of a long-term nature. Their inquiries primarily concern economic and financial, legal, or technical and regulatory issues.
The Abbé Pierre Foundation also receives a number of requests from local community organizations or citizen initiatives seeking to develop solidarity-based projects (transitional housing, community cafés, cultural initiatives, hybrid spaces, etc.). Consequently, the cooperative and the public-benefit association have joined forces to structure their response to these requests and meet the needs of community groups and project leaders on the ground.
