Plateau Urbain is inviting applications to occupy the former André Malraux School in Courbevoie for a four-year term beginning in February 2026!
Located in Courbevoie, just a stone’s throw from the La Défense business district and easily accessible by public transit (an 8-minute walk from the Esplanade de La Défense station on Metro Line 1), the André Malraux School has recently closed to make way for a new development project. Pending its conversion, these spaces will be transformed, for a period of four years starting in February 2026, into office and workshop spaces for artists, artisans, associations, and social and solidarity economy organizations. Initiated by the City of Courbevoie, this temporary occupancy project is taking place in a 4,000-square-meter building spread over three floors, with a 2,000-square-meter outdoor courtyard.
Most of the offices and studios available in the former school range from 50 to 60 m² and include a water outlet. A few smaller spaces ranging from 8 to 40 m² are also available. On the ground floor, larger spaces exceeding 80 m² are also available. Future occupants are free to form partnerships to share spaces among multiple organizations or individuals. Restrooms, water outlets, and elevators are available on all levels. The outdoor courtyard will be open to local residents and will host cultural and sporting activities.
To secure a space, future occupants must become members
of Plateau Urbain. You can estimate the minimum number of shares required based on your future monthly fee using the online calculator on our website
.
This amount is a one-time payment due upon selection, and it can be paid in installments via check.
The monthly fee will then be €16/m²/month, all charges included.
You have until January 4, 2026, at 11:59 PM to apply! Group tours of the premises and individual interviews will then be held on January 12, 13, and 14; registration is required via a form.
