The Plateau Urbain cooperative is inviting applications for office spaces, workshops, and basements as part of a temporary occupancy project in Val de Fontenay.
The available spaces are located in the “Chartreuse” building and will be available for a minimum of 30 months. Chartreuse is one of the buildings in the complex, formerly occupied by the RATP, and has a total area of approximately 8,000 m².
The Chartreuse building is a five-story structure built in the 1970s, featuring office and workshop spaces arranged around a central courtyard accessible from the ground floor.
GROUND FLOOR SPACES
The offices/workshops range from 10 to 30 m². Among them, several rooms, previously used as medical offices, are equipped with a sink, making them ideal for businesses whose activities require direct access to water.
SPACES ON THE UPPER FLOORS
Workspaces for office activities, artist studios, and light crafts are available across the building’s five floors, all served by elevators. Various types of spaces are available, with varying degrees of partitioning: there are a few small spaces under 15 m², medium-sized spaces between 15 and 35 m², and larger ones between 35 and 70 m². There are also larger, minimally partitioned spaces ranging from 100 to 250 m². These spaces can be shared among multiple organizations.
COMMON AREAS
In addition to access to their own premises, the selected organizations will have access to all of the project’s common areas: shared kitchen, relaxation areas, meeting rooms, etc.
The condominium complex of which the Chartreuse building is a part is centered around a garden and outdoor spaces. A brasserie and a restaurant overlook this central space.
OUTDOOR SPACE
With the co-ownership’s approval, plans are in place to organize a summer program in these spaces similar to the one implemented in the La Grange project. SPL MAB (the building’s owner) and Plateau Urbain hope that these spaces can be used on an ad hoc basis during the summer to host various events (community fair, artisan market, cultural and festive programming, etc.).
This programming will be coordinated by and with Plateau Urbain, but will be conceived and carried out by all the project’s occupants.
PARKING
The building has access to parking spaces for vehicles under 1.95 meters in height. The financial terms for the parking spaces have not yet been defined; they will be determined at the time of the tours (see calendar).
📍 The building is a 5-minute walk from the Val-de-Fontenay RER station (RER lines A and E) (15 minutes from Nation)
