After nearly four years of occupation, La Grange closed its doors in December 2024. This 1,300-square-meter building had been home to a diverse range of groups: artists, cabinetmakers, seamstresses and tailors, graphic designers, independent media outlets, and many others.
For some of the occupants, the story continues! About thirty of them have come together as a collective to launch a new initiative. Working directly with the same landlord, SPL Marne Bois, they signed a new lease and, starting in December 2024, moved into a building located just a few steps from the former site in Fontenay-sous-Bois.
Plateau Urbain is delighted to have witnessed the formation of this collective, which originated at La Grange, and to see them move forward together toward another project that they manage themselves.
