To mark Earth Day, the Tiligolo Farm is setting up in the garden. Children can enter the farm to touch and pet the animals, under the farmer’s watchful eye.
Free and open to all!

Seeding and planting – get your hands in the soil and help create La Roche’s community garden. Free admission (membership in the association required to participate).

The World in a Jar / Wardian Case – The Political History of the Terrarium
The history of Wardian cases that crossed oceans to transport tropical plants. + Making a terrarium in a jam jar. Wardian Case, the political and cultural history of the terrarium. Join a mini-lecture on these glass boxes invented in the 19th century, followed by making a terrarium in a jar.

🎨🌸 Tatakizome Workshop · 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Introduction to the Tataki Zomé Technique
The plant-printing workshop involves experimenting with an ancient Japanese technique called Tataki Zomé. This art involves pounding plants onto cotton fabric to create plant prints. Under the force of the pounding, the plant cells open up, release their sap, and thus saturate the fabric.
Supplies and materials provided. €15 (Solidarity rate: €10, Support rate: €20)
