For several years, Plateau Urbain has been developing partnerships at the European level to share its methods and learn from innovative practices in transitional urbanism and the management of hybrid spaces.
In Italy, an academic partnership has been established with the University of Naples Federico II, while the Florence-based cooperative LAMA has joined Plateau Urbain as a member. These collaborations enable the exploration of inspiring models for the reappropriation of vacant spaces and collective management.
The cooperative also works with European actors such as Communa and Ressources Urbaines, and advises the Brussels-Capital Region on economic and governance models for temporary occupations.
These exchanges, complemented by on-the-ground meetings across Europe, help strengthen the cooperative’s expertise, build a network of peers, and position Plateau Urbain as a key player in urban innovation at the European level.
