NEWS FROM LIAISON DOUCE

While rain has been pouring down on Paris in recent weeks, a unique third place in Paris’s 13th arrondissement continues to defy the gloom of this summery autumn. Liaison Douce, a vibrant and creative link between Paris and Ivry-sur-Seine, is evolving into a welcoming, festive, and community-minded space.

In the shadow of the ring road, La Bretelle buzzes every week with concerts, DJ sets, thrift shops, pétanque tournaments, and open-air movie screenings… all sheltered under a bubble. La Bretelle is ready to face the rain and welcome the sun.

The neighborhood comes alive a little more each day, and Liaison Douce is now a fixture. From a couscous meal shared among neighbors and organized with the Supérette du Quotidien to a festival celebrating the social and solidarity economy along the Paris-Ivry alley, it’s just a short step away—with the added bonus of the residents’ unwavering commitment.

And all of this is just the beginning: Two new shops have opened their doors within Liaison Douce, with the arrival of La Huche and Soko Fundi, launched by Wakalaâ. The workshop-shops at 42 have also seen new businesses set up shop. Les tissages de Camille, Rosamen Bado, Beauté Innée, Baloon voyageur, and Ohmboa are now part of the Liaisons Douce collective adventure, much to our delight.

We could talk about this for hours, but the best thing is to just stop by. The ramp is open every day; you can come by for a drink, a bite to eat, or to dance, and at the same time explore this beautiful Paris-Ivry alleyway that’s coming back to life.

Stay tuned—September is shaping up to be a busy month for Liaisons Douce!
