🎈 Les Grandes Voisines, a Lyon-based third place, is celebrating three years of temporary occupation! 🎈
Over the past 3 years, this has meant:
– Hundreds of people housed thanks to the five emergency shelters on the site.
– Dozens of organizations that have gained access to suitable and affordable
workspace. – Dozens of workers in job-training programs who have received training
. – A multitude of events that have brought together residents, occupants, those in shelter, and neighbors for festive, cultural, and socially engaged gatherings.
And above all, it’s been three years of temporary occupation that have shown we have everything to gain from inclusive spaces.
And to celebrate this anniversary in style…🪩 Join us on June 18 for the famous Fête des Grandes Voisines starting at 4 p.m.!
On the program: a “third place” parade, a show for all ages, a participatory mural, refreshments and food, and surprises!
