Plateau Urbain adds another third-place to its network: the former André Malraux School in Courbevoie is now Pixel!
Located just a short walk from the La Défense business district and easily accessible by public transport, this 4,000 m² building now offers studios and workshops for around 30 artists, artisans, associations, and social and solidarity economy organizations.
At the heart of the project: knowledge sharing through hands-on experience. Workshops, artistic and craft practices, cultural activities, meetings, and collective moments will shape the daily life of Pixel.
🗓 Join us to celebrate Pixel’s opening on Wednesday, September 23, from 12 PM to 7 PM!
Program:
✨ Guided tours and open studios for artists and artisans
🎨 Creative workshops: watercolor, painting, leather jewelry-making, and kintsugi (golden repair) initiation
📸 Photo exhibition and an art sale corner under the school’s covered walkway and in the hallways
🕹️ Blindfolded video game experience: step into the shoes of a visually impaired person
🎉 Mini fairground games
💬 Speeches by Plateau Urbain, Sportfield, and the City of Courbevoie
You’ll also have the chance to try (or play) padel on the two courts, managed by our partner Sportfield. 🎾
We look forward to seeing you for a day of exploration, exchange, and celebration!
