This collective was born out of a desire to contribute to the current music scene by approaching the soundscape as a whole. They forge connections between sound design, new audio technologies, various modes of distribution, and other aspects of sound. The goal was to reintegrate these elements into music by rethinking how it is created, experienced, and shared.
It was through word of mouth that they discovered Plateau Urbain and Atlas, and they moved into their space in 2023. This move provided them with a workspace dedicated to their research—a place that exudes an energy conducive to production, the convergence of ideas, and the spark of creativity!
4.30 pm draws inspiration from any musical, artistic, or popular trend that can fuel their practice, as well as from new technologies and sound tools. Currently, the four members are working on structuring their association to establish a lasting presence in the soundscape.
Each member of their team brings a diverse set of skills, which allows them to tackle a broad spectrum of research and enables them to respond flexibly to a wide range of requests and varied needs.
