La Roche is a vibrant, creative space with a social mission. Housed in the former La Rochefoucauld Hospital, which dates back to the late 18th century and is listed as a historic monument and garden, it has been home to 48 organizations since July 2025: actors in the social and solidarity economy, associations, artists, and artisans. In addition, the Aurore association, a major player in social integration, the ESAJ (École Supérieure d’Architecture des Jardins), the ESA (École Spéciale d’Architecture), and the Le Recho association, a humanist caterer, are partners in the project to make this a space that promotes ecological preservation, creativity, and diversity.

The gardens are open and accessible to the public so that everyone can enjoy this green oasis. An artistic and cultural program (workshops, exhibitions, open houses, etc.) enriches the life of the site.

This project is part of a consultation launched by Assistance publique – Hôpitaux de Paris (AP-HP) with a view to the sale and rehabilitation of the site. Giboire and Galia, winners of the call for proposals, have partnered with Plateau Urbain to bring this temporary occupation to fruition before construction begins.
