Plateau Urbain is assisting the FAB in defining the terms for the transitional use of the buildings of the former Robert-Picqué Military Hospital. The project aims to establish a secure operational framework for the temporary use by analyzing the technical, regulatory, and economic conditions necessary to accommodate new uses on the site.
The work focuses in particular on defining a comprehensive management strategy: identifying usable buildings, planning compatible uses, estimating necessary investments, and conducting economic modeling of future uses.
The transitional phase serves as a true experimental laboratory to support the transformation of a single-use site into a mixed-use economic district, open to its surrounding area and residents, while highlighting the site’s built heritage and landscaped spaces.
