As part of its partnership with the Fondation pour le Logement des Défavorisés, Plateau Urbain supports collectives engaged in the development of third-place projects with a strong social impact.
In Mulhouse, the mission aims to build a collective dynamic around the transformation of a housing complex located near the city center. It brings together several local nonprofit organizations, notably Les Petites Cantines and the association Le Lieu, to co-create a third-place project combining hospitality, solidarity, and shared living spaces.
In Sète, Plateau Urbain is supporting the Lucusta collective in the conversion of the former Villa Salis youth hostel. The project combines artist residencies for filmmakers in exile, a community-driven restaurant, and a social integration hotel. The mission focuses on defining the project, setting up its operational framework, and supporting its pilot phase.
These projects illustrate Plateau Urbain’s role in structuring hybrid initiatives at the intersection of social, cultural, and economic challenges, providing direct support to local dynamics.
