Laurine Wagner is a contemporary visual artist and researcher who moved to La Pampa when the space first opened in Cachan (92).
Blurring the lines between art, science, and society, Laurine Wagner creates poetic and immersive video and/or sound installations, photographs, and even performances. She discovered La Pampa while searching for a studio to share with visual artist and researcher Alexia Antuofermo. After seeing the listing posted online by Plateau Urbain, they immediately applied, toured the spaces, and fell in love with the studio they currently occupy.
They are thrilled to be able to pursue their work in this space: “La Pampa brings several elements to my practice: inspiration, opportunities, and momentum. This place is stimulating due to its proximity to the Grand Paris Express construction site, where transformation is ever-present and intersects with my creative-research themes. The connections we’re building at La Pampa are enriching on a human level; it’s a true network of mutual aid, support, and shared good times. This can give rise to internal and/or external projects, collaborations, or interesting assignments. For me, the opportunity that La Pampa represents is openness: discovery, curiosity, and sharing. La Pampa gives me a larger space where I feel at ease and where I can work alone or with others.”
