La Mode Européenne is an organization founded in 2019 by Baptiste Lingoungou and Louise Jambon, dedicated to combating textile waste.
The organization is committed to combating textile waste by collecting clothing, shoes, and bags from brands in France and redistributing them through a network of solidarity shops in Africa, thereby promoting local job creation.
Baptiste manages the solidarity shop in the Congo, and Louise manages the solidarity shop in Cape Verde. There are already two stores with five permanent jobs created, where employees earn a salary double the local minimum wage. European
fashion brands collaborate with over 40 brands to repurpose their dormant inventory, including Lee Cooper, Etam Group, Schott NYC, Panafrica, Frnch Paris, DIEGA, and Noyoco.
