The transitional housing project is led by Aquitanis (the public housing agency of Bordeaux Métropole) and Plateau Urbain, with support from the Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations, which initiated the project. This project spans 13,000 m² and is currently the first large-scale transitional site in the Bordeaux metropolitan area. Its ambition is to serve as a demonstration project promoting the right to the city for all, fostering equitable and sustainable economic development. 100 organizations have already set up operations in this space, which is well-suited for collective projects.
This project is part of the partnership initiated in 2018 between Plateau Urbain and Aquitanis, which together offer affordable temporary workspaces in the Bordeaux metropolitan area. To date, 70 organizations have been hosted across 8 transitional sites.
